Here’s something about me, if you wanted to know . . . I’m very good at pattern recognition, which is is a valuable skill to have when you’re a famous private investigator like I am. Sometimes when you start to see the patterns connecting everything, when it all goes beyond a mere lattice of coincidence, especially inside of other people, it can make you feel a strange feeling. To be honest, I don’t particularly like this because more than half the time it’s all a big bummer. Often I feel a sadness. But I am good at it. I wish I weren’t. I think I would be a lot happier if I could just shut off my brain and stop Wondering. Once I start thinking, it’s all over. Fortunately, my gift of pattern recognition is greatly handicapped on account of I have a lot of other problems, both real and imagined, that have caused me permanent brain damage, and robbed me of any sort of happy or productive future LOL
